Vijay Sethupathi has landed in the middle of a social media storm after his recent comments on leadership sparked speculation about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and TVK chief Vijay. While Sethupathi did not name anyone, a section of viewers quickly connected his remarks to the actor-turned-politician, leaving TVK supporters and Thalapathy Vijay fans furious.

Vijay Sethupathi Commented On Leadership
The controversy began during the latest episode of Bigg Boss Tamil 10, which Vijay Sethupathi hosts. While advising contestant Saathika about leadership, the actor spoke about what he believes makes someone a true leader. He stressed that making promises without thinking, avoiding responsibility when problems arise and simply continuing to talk do not amount to leadership. He also said that shifting the blame to another team and walking away when difficulties arise is not the behaviour of a genuine leader.

His remarks soon went viral, with social media users focusing particularly on his comments that “just talking” is not leadership. The timing of the remarks triggered speculation. Tamil Nadu CM Vijay is currently in the spotlight over his political activities and recent London visit, where he met companies reportedly as part of efforts connected to investment in the state and also attended a racing event involving actor Ajith Kumar.

However, there is no confirmation that Vijay Sethupathi was referring to the Chief Minister. The episode itself did not identify any politician or political party. Reports also note that Sethupathi was specifically discussing leadership while addressing a contestant inside the Bigg Boss house.
Vijay
Despite the lack of a direct reference, the remarks quickly triggered reactions online. A section of Vijay and TVK supporters interpreted them as an indirect criticism of the Chief Minister. Some fans questioned why Sethupathi’s comments were being linked to Vijay at all, while others accused him of taking a political swipe without naming the person he allegedly intended to target. The debate has also gained traction because Sethupathi and Vijay have previously worked together in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Master, where Sethupathi played the antagonist Bhavani opposite Vijay.
