Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati is soon going to be out and we just can’t wait. The first song of the movie is out and we are totally in love with the gorgeous Deepika Padukone. Deepika who plays Rani Padmavati in the movie has again won our hearts and this time as she dances to the magical tune of Ghoomar.
Deepika looks stunning as she performs to this folk song. Let’s talk about her lehenga which has taken away our heart. Her lehenga is paired with a red bouse with a hint of green. The heavy orange dupatta adds to the entire look. Obviously, we can’t forget to talk about her heavy gold jewellery.
Deepika wears a Rimple & Harpreet Narula lehenga that weighs 30 kgs and costs around a whopping 30 Lakhs. Yes, 30 kgs, do you believe it? And if we tell you Deepika twirled in it around 66 times? Deepika is truly an artist. We couldn’t ever figure out the weight by having a look at it.
Deepika recently shared that it has been a very difficult experience to shoot Ghoomar. In an interview, she said, “It has been one of the most difficult song sequences that Sanjay sir and I have shot for. The shooting of the film began with this song and I will never forget that day. I remember approaching my mark for the first shot and suddenly, I felt a chill run through my body. It was almost as if Padmavati’s soul had entered my body. That feeling still lingers and will continue for years to come.”
Padmavati is set to release on 1st December.
