When Vicky Kaushal Got Stitches Under His Eye During The Shoot Of “Manmarziyaan”
14th September is the day when the Vicky Kaushal starrer “Manmarziyaan” got released in 2018. Hence the film marks its fourth anniversary this year. Over the years Vicky has been appreciated for his choice of scripts like Manmarziyaan and also for giving a power-packed performance in them. It also starred Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. The film won a couple of awards and was directed by the well-acclaimed Anurag Kashyap.
On the occasion of the fourth anniversary, Vicky shared his experience and a throwback image from the set of the film. The actor recalls the time when he had to get stitches for an injury on the set of the mentioned film. In his caption explained the reason behind the injury with heartfelt words indicating his gratitude for the moments he spent on the set.
“Aashiqon ki jaan lega tu!”… scene that cost me a few stitches under the eye. Such a liberating experience to play Vicky Sandhu! Grateful for a memorable journey together” Vicky captioned his post. In the picture, Vicky was dressed as his character with a unique hairstyle and stubble. A person from the production crew is seen shining a flashlight under Vicky’s eye possibly looking for the injury that led to stitches.
Talking about his upcoming projects Vicky is currently shooting for the Sam Manekshaw biopic, titled Sam Bahadur. Sam Manekshaw was the first army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. He was also the Chief of Army staff during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The movie will be directed by Meghna Gulzar. Vicky has worked with the same director before for the critically acclaimed “Raazi”. The film also stars Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh who will play the role of Sam’s wife and India’s former PM Indira Gandhi.
Vicky will also be seen collaborating with director Laxman Utekar who is known for his work in “Mimi” and “Luka Chuppi”. The film is titled “Govinda Mera Naam” and it also stars Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. The actor is also slated for a film with Sara Ali Khan for which there are no updates as of now. The actor is also rumoured to be cast in the sequel of “Luka Chuppi” which may bring the actor-director duo together once again. Vicky Kaushal also hinted that he isn’t very happy with the delay the pandemic caused to the production of some of his upcoming projects.
