Actress Alka Kaushal, who is popularly known for her role as a mother in movies like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Queen’, has been sentenced to a two-year jail term along with her mother.

As per reports, Alka Kaushal and her mother borrowed an amount of Rs. 50 lakh from a farmer based in Lagrian village. They took this amount to make a serial but they never returned his money back.

It is being said that Alka gave the farmer two cheques worth Rs. 25 lakh each but they got bounced. The farmer then went to Malerkotla court back in 2015 for justice. But Alka appealed to a higher court at Sangrur. The higher court upheld the lower court’s decision and both the actress and her mother have now been sentenced to 2-year-jail.
