Yami Gautam Says, ‘Aditya ne Propose hi Nahi Kiya’ On Kapil Sharma Show- Checkout!
Yami Gautam when talked about how Aditya Dhar asked her to marry him. She said, ‘Propose hi nahi kiya’ all this happened when Yami Gautam had given an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show. Yami Gautam revealed that hubby Aditya Dhar did not formally propose to her for marriage.
Actress Yami Gautam got married to Aditya Dhar on June 4. This was an intimate ceremony in Himachal Pradesh. It was attended only by few close family members. When Yami appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote her film ‘Bhoot Police’ co-stars actors Saif Ali Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez. In the show, Yami was asked how she was proposed by Aditya.
Comedian Krushna Abhishek, in his get-up of Sapna, asked the question to Yami.
“Propose hi nahi kiya tha (Aditya did not propose at all),” Yami replied.
On being asked exactly who had proposed to whom, the actress revealed,
“Kisi ne nahi kiya. Shaadi ho gayi (No one proposed to anyone, just got married).”
On the show, Yami talked about the guests. There were only 20 guests at her wedding. Yami told that her maternal grandmother, who lived only 40 km away from the venue, still stayed away to respect the Covid-19 protocol.
Yami is very active on social media. She announced her wedding, in an Instagram post on June 4. This was a close-knit affair as they prefer to stay ‘very private people’. The wedding ceremony took place at her farmhouse in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
Later, in an interview with the media, Yami revealed her relationship with Aditya. The actress said that she and Aditya ‘started a friendship’ when they were promoting the film Uri: The Surgical Strike. It was the time when she realized that ‘he was the one’.
“You just know it in your gut. It’s not something that you can describe. You just know it. When you start understanding the person’s value system, and what family he belongs to. You don’t have to have similarities or share common things in your interests, but have similarities in your value system and your ethics. And we share that a lot. I have a lot of respect for Aditya and I had a lot of respect for him as a professional and as a person. I respect him for who he is,” she said.
