The actress shared a video of the alleged contamination on her Instagram Stories and directly tagged Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe, seeking his intervention. The incident has quickly grabbed attention online, particularly because Bipasha did not simply flag the issue but publicly appealed to the senior IAS officer, calling him our only hope.

Bipasha Basu Shows Tiny Worms in Newly Opened Product

In the video shared on Instagram, Bipasha showed the contents of a newly opened container of Isopure, a nutrition brand known for its protein products. She zoomed in on what appeared to be tiny moving particles and identified them as worms. In the clip, the actress can be heard saying that the product was full of worms and emphasising that these were tiny, tiny worms. She also showed what appeared to be one of the suspected worms on her finger.

Her claim has not yet been independently verified, and it remains unclear what the particles shown in the video were until any official investigation or testing is carried out. After sharing the video, Bipasha tagged Tukaram Mundhe, who currently serves as the Maharashtra FDA Commissioner. Appealing directly to him, the actress wrote that he was our only hope to ensure that consumers do not end up with spoiled or adulterated products.

Her appeal comes at a time when Mundhe has been in the spotlight for his food-safety enforcement efforts across Maharashtra, including inspections of hotels, restaurants and other food establishments. Tukaram Mundhe has developed a reputation for taking a strict approach to food-safety violations. His recent inspections and action against alleged adulteration have received considerable attention, including from Bollywood personalities.
