Along with it, she wrote a heartfelt note that reflected the warmth and affection they shared. “You never liked the term in-laws. You always said, ‘This is my daughter.’ And you treated me like one. You would often ask, with a twinkle in your familiar eyes, ‘Who is the best girl in the world?’ And I would smile and say, ‘Me!’”
