Ayushmann’s Film Thamma Trailer Fails To Impress, Fans Label It ‘Just Average: Read Here!

Ayushmann Khurrana

Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming film Thamma has left netizens disappointed. Bollywood is primarily celebrated for its romantic and action-packed movies, making impactful horror films rare. While Hollywood horror often terrifies audiences, Indian cinema has shown promise with hits like Stree and Stree 2, proving horror-comedy can succeed. However, the fifth installment in Maddock’s horror-comedy universe, Thamma, seems to have missed the mark. The recently released 2.54-minute trailer has failed to excite viewers. Social media is flooded with reactions labeling it underwhelming and average, leaving fans less than impressed with expectations.

Thamma Trailer Teases Epic Showdown with a 1,000-Year-Old Vampire

The trailer features Ayushmann Khurrana leaping between buildings and maintaining his balance as he transforms into a vampire. He then appears to face off against a thousand-year-old vampire, portrayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Meanwhile, his father, played by Paresh Rawal, becomes convinced his son has turned into a shaitaan after noticing his vampire teeth. While the teaser was widely appreciated, the full trailer left fans feeling disappointed and underwhelmed.

Netizens Speak Out on Thamma Trailer

Reddit users were quick to voice their candid reactions to the ‘Thamma’ trailer. One fan commented, “Ye kya tha?? I thought Ayushmaan is a good actor, but this was a let down.” One user also commented, “When will Bollywood make its own trends instead of copy-pasting instagram reels and memes like “Dame unn grr” and “Lapu sa sachin’.” Check out the fans’ reaction here!

A third one penned: “The movie has a fresh look, but the trailer is a dud. None of the dialogues landed for me. Especially Nawaz’s lines, which look like a complete mismatch with that character. Paresh Rawal was the only one who delivered a bit but even his lines seemed weak. And I hate when they show the entire movie in the trailer, it shows that they are desperate and don’t believe in their product, so that’s not a good sign at all.”

More about Thamma Movie

The film is being touted as a bloody love story, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the creative mind behind the 2024 blockbuster Munjya. Maddock’s horror-comedy universe began in 2018 with Stree, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, and quickly became a fan favorite. Following that, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya won hearts, and Stree 2 continued the streak of acclaim. Now, all eyes are on Thamma, set to hit theaters on October 21, 2025.
