The spy thriller Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues to dominate headlines, not just for its box office performance, but also for the real-life controversy surrounding its characters. Actor Sanjay Dutt, who portrays Pakistani police officer Chaudhary Aslam in the film, has received both praise and criticism following recent remarks by Aslam’s widow, Noreen Aslam. Initially, Noreen Aslam had appreciated Sanjay Dutt’s performance, calling it deeply moving and emotionally resonant.

One particular sequence, showing Chaudhary Aslam allegedly beating Baloch children, has deeply upset her. Chaudhary Aslam, known for his strong stance against extremist groups like Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, was killed in a bomb blast, something he had eerily predicted. She recalled how he had refused to bow down to threats from terrorist groups, remaining steadfast in his duty despite constant danger. The controversy has now taken a legal turn, with Noreen Aslam expressing anger toward director Aditya Dhar.

Noreen has demanded ₹25 crore as compensation, stating that it is a small amount compared to the film’s massive earnings. She has also hinted at taking legal action if her demands are not met. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, which enjoyed a phenomenal start has begun to slow down at the box office. After crossing the ₹1,000 crore mark in India, the film’s collections have dipped significantly in its third week.
