Dhruv Rathee reacted on Twitter (now X) on Tuesday, shortly after the film’s trailer premiered online, sharing his thoughts and opinions regarding the trailer within hours of its digital release. “Aditya Dhar has truly crossed a limit of cheapness in Bollywood. The extreme violence, gore and torture shown in his latest film trailer is the equivalent of watching ISIS beheadings and calling it “entertainment”,” Dhruv Rathee penned.
Further condemning the film, Rathee expressed strong disapproval, highlighting its excessive violence and graphic content, and criticised the director for normalising brutality instead of focusing on meaningful storytelling. “His lust for money is so unhinged that he is willingly poisoning the minds of the young generation, desensitizing them to gore and glorifying unimaginable torture.”
The creator appealed to the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC), urging them to examine the film due to its excessive and graphic depiction of violence, calling for careful scrutiny and action.“This is the chance for the Censor Board to show if they have a bigger problem with people kissing or watching someone get skinned alive,” he concluded.
