Emmanuel Macron Ends India tour with “Na De Dil Pardesi Nu”: Check Out His Farewell Reel

French President Emmanuel Macron surprised fans during his recent state visit to India by posting a farewell video on X with a very filmy soundtrack. Instead of a typical diplomatic montage, the video ended with the title track “Na De Dil Pardesi Nu” from the Bollywood blockbuster Dhurandhar playing in the background.

The 43-second clip showcased ceremonial welcomes, cultural moments, temple visits and interactions with local leaders, all wrapped up with a simple caption from Macron: “Thank you India!”

Why the Music Choice Made Headlines

The unexpected inclusion of the Dhurandhar track sparked excitement across Indian social media. Users praised the blend of diplomacy and popular culture, with many describing it as “lit” and celebrating it as a nod to one of Bollywood’s biggest hits. Some fans even joked that the musical sign-off gave the entire diplomatic trip an entertaining “Bollywood swagger,” turning what would have been a standard farewell into a viral cultural moment.

Emmanuel Macron X India: Diplomacy Meets Culture

Macron’s three-day visit wasn’t just about viral videos. It included high-level engagements like the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where both sides emphasised deepening cooperation in areas such as technology and innovation.

But the Dhurandhar soundtrack added a softer cultural layer to the diplomatic narrative, one that many in India saw as a symbolic acknowledgment of the global appeal of Indian cinema.

About Dhurandhar

Dhurandhar is one of the biggest hits in recent Hindi cinema, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh alongside a strong ensemble cast. The film has broken multiple box-office records and even surpassed other major releases to become one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time.

A sequel titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge is also slated for release in March 2026, further expanding the franchise’s footprint.
