The festival of Chaitra Navratri concluded this year on a spiritual note, with Durga Ashtami being celebrated with great devotion across the country. Like every year, Kapil Sharma continued his tradition of performing Kanya Pujan at home and shared a heartwarming glimpse of the ritual on social media. Kapil Sharma invited young girls to his home to perform the sacred ritual, which is considered highly auspicious during Navratri.

In the video he shared, Kapil can be seen tying Kalawa on the girls’ wrists, performing the pooja, and serving them a traditional meal. The atmosphere was filled with devotion as Aarti dedicated to Goddess Durga played in the background, while the girls happily clapped and participated in the prayers. After completing the rituals, Kapil sought blessings from the young girls, who are worshipped as forms of the divine feminine.

His wife, Ginni Chatrath, also joined in the rituals. The couple even performed a special Pujan for their daughter, Anayra, making the occasion even more special for the family. Kapil captioned the video simply with “Jai Mata Di,” reflecting the spiritual essence of the celebration. Kapil Sharma has been observing Navratri and performing Kanya Pujan for several years. Back in 2020, he had shared adorable pictures of his daughter Anayra’s first Kanya Pujan, a moment that resonated deeply with fans.

Kapil wasn’t the only celebrity celebrating. Maniesh Paul performed Kanya Pujan at his residence, where he washed the girls’ feet, applied Tilak, tied Kalawa, and served them Bhog. He also gifted them presents and shared photos online. Surbhi Jyoti, who is expecting her first child, also celebrated the ritual. She prepared a traditional meal including Chana, Poori, and Halwa, and shared glimpses with her followers.
