The global Labubu craze has officially made itself at home in Karan Johar’s household, and it looks like the director-producer is already losing arguments to his 6-year-old daughter, Roohi.
On Sunday, Karan posted a hilarious and heart-melting video on Instagram featuring Roohi clutching her beloved Labubu doll. In typical dad-mode, Karan teased her: “Roohi, do you really want to follow this trend?”
Without missing a beat, Roohi hit back with all the sass in the world: “It’s not a trend, it’s my friend.” Karan, clearly outmatched, could only respond with an exasperated, “Oh God, okay,” before admitting defeat in the caption: “Can’t argue with that can I??
Celebs & Fans React
Industry pals and fans flooded the comments with love and laughter. Ishaan Khatter hilariously asked, “Lawhoboo?” while Maheep Kapoor dropped heart emojis and Sophie Choudry declared, “Well said, Roohi.” Fans chimed in with, “Awww she is soo adorable,” “She’s growing up so pretty,” and one even joked, “Why is everyone always scolding you, Karan?”
On the Work Front
While Labubu has taken over his home, Karan Johar is also busy with his next big release — Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. The filmmaker recently shared that the film carries a “powerful, socially relevant message” and explores harsh contemporary realities that aren’t just restricted to small towns.
“It’s a story that makes you wake up and think,” Karan said. “Good things take time — and that’s why we respect processes like censorship.”
Between parenting sass queens and pushing bold stories, KJo clearly has his hands full!
