South star Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni, is once again in the spotlight, this time for her bold advice to young women. However, her remarks sparked a wave of criticism online. Many accused her of promoting IVF treatments for commercial reasons, especially as she belongs to the Apollo Hospitals family. But Upasana has now delivered a strong and clear response to her critics. Taking to Instagram, Upasana questioned the judgment women often face for making independent choices. She asked, “Is it wrong for a woman to have a love marriage without succumbing to societal pressure? Is it wrong to wait for the right partner?”

She further said, “Is it wrong to decide when to have a child based on circumstances? Is it wrong to focus on one’s goals and career? Should she only think about marriage or having children soon?” Her questions reflected the frustration many women feel while dealing with unnecessary societal expectations. Addressing claims that she was promoting IVF services at Apollo Hospitals, Upasana wrote, “Fact check. I married at 27, at my own discretion, for love and companionship. I decided to freeze my eggs at 29 for personal and health reasons.”

In her post, Upasana also highlighted the importance of balancing personal and professional life, “Throughout my journey, I have given equal importance to both building a career and nurturing my marriage. Marriage and career are not mutually exclusive; both are part of a fulfilling life. I decide the timeline, and that is my right.” Her statement resonated strongly with many women who believe in choosing their own path without societal timelines.
