According to reports, particularly from Telugu media portals, Rana Daggubati has been approached for a key role in the sequel. If negotiations conclude successfully, he is expected to begin shooting around March or April 2026. Rana, widely known for his iconic portrayal of Bhallaladeva in Baahubali: The Beginning, could bring a powerful presence to the mythological action drama. However, there is currently no clarity about the character he might portray in Jai Hanuman.

Jai Hanuman serves as the sequel to the 2024 mythological superhero film Hanu-Man, which starred Teja Sajja in the lead role. The film turned out to be a major commercial success, earning approximately ₹295.29 crore worldwide. Following the success of Hanu-Man, the makers wasted no time announcing the sequel, expanding what is now known as the Prashant Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).

The film is being produced on a grand scale by Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with T-Series. Reports suggest that Jai Hanuman will be officially launched in the historic city of Hampi. The makers are planning a grand ceremony on February 22, 2026, to mark the beginning of this ambitious project. The first-look poster of Rishabh Shetty was released in early October last year and instantly went viral. In the poster, he is seen kneeling before an idol of Lord Ram inside what appears to be an abandoned temple, a powerful and devotional visual that resonated deeply with audiences.
