Ranbir Kapoor’s bond with his daughter Raha continues to warm hearts—and now his Ramayana co-star Indira Krishnan has offered a glimpse into just how deeply devoted he is as a father. In a recent interview with NDTV, the veteran actor, who plays Kaushalya in Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological drama, recalled touching moments with Ranbir on set that revealed his affectionate side.

Calling Ranbir her favourite co-star, Indira shared that he went out of his way to make her feel welcome. “He would pull a chair for me, check in on how I was doing, and always engage in the most thoughtful conversations,” she said.

But it was his love for Raha that truly left an impression. “He once told me, ‘Raha is my dal chawal.’ The simplicity with which he said it—it was beautiful,” Indira recalled. She also revealed that Ranbir asked her for her son’s childhood books so he could read them to Raha. “Every day, he’d remind me, ‘Ma’am, did you get the books for Raha?’”

She also shared a sweet anecdote that captured Ranbir’s dedication as a dad. “One day, he came to set limping. I asked him what happened, and he said, ‘There was a race, Indira ji… I ran for Raha. And I came first.’ He had pulled a muscle but never complained—he just showed up, smiling. That’s Ranbir. A father before anything else.”

Ranbir and Alia Bhatt welcomed Raha in November 2022 and formally introduced her to the media a year later. However, after a recent stabbing incident at Saif Ali Khan’s residence, the couple has requested the paparazzi to refrain from revealing Raha’s face in public.

What’s Next for Ranbir?

Ranbir is currently working on Ramayana, where he stars as Lord Ram alongside Sai Pallavi (Sita), Yash (Ravana), Sunny Deol (Hanuman), and Ravie Dubey (Lakshman).
