It’s absolutely overwhelming to receive so much love and appreciation for my part in #Dhurandhar. It wasn’t a long screen time, but so many of you told me the character made an impact, and that truly means the world to me.

She continued, “All the credit goes to the remarkable @AdityaDharFilms. Thank you for including me in Dhurandhar; you created something magical. This wouldn’t have been possible without the fantastic #AkshayKhanna, a dream collaborator. Thanks for this opportunity @CastingChhabra #Jyoti Deshpande @jiostudios @LokeshDharB62 for having me.”
Saumya commended Dhurandhar for its dignified and respectful portrayal of women
Earlier, in her tweet, Saumya praised the film for its thoughtful and respectful portrayal of women. She remarked: “In the world of Dhurandhar, with the societal norms depicted by the director, it is a male-centric environment, yet women are portrayed with respect. They are not subjected to violence, objectification, or depicted as mere wives, even though that society could have permitted it. It’s crucial to recognise that we are exploring a very different reality. I apologise that the essence of this story doesn’t lend itself to glamorous heroines performing songs on picturesque beaches; that may suit other narratives, but not this one. Nonetheless, as an actress, I hope to have chances to engage in women-centric stories.”
Clarifying that her comments weren’t directed at any other spy-thriller amid comparisons with the YRF Spyverse, Tandon tweeted, “And I’m not criticising anyone at all. I appreciate all types of films—romantic tales on beaches, love stories in the mountains, songs, dances, everything. However, this film simply didn’t possess that essence or requirement.”
