Shilpa Shetty Refuses Selfie With Police Officer At Ganpati Pandal

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty visited the renowned Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati pandal in Mumbai on Tuesday, September 2, but her trip quickly became a topic of online debate. A video of the visit went viral, showing the actress seemingly refusing to take a selfie with a female police officer.

In the short clip, Shilpa is seen making her way through the crowd towards the idol. When a police officer taps her on the shoulder and makes a request, Shilpa turns, gestures with her finger, and declines the photo. Her bodyguards can be heard advising, “Madam, yeh mat karo.”

While Shilpa and her family are known for their grand Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, they did not bring Ganpati home this year. The star shared that the decision was made due to a recent family bereavement, though no further details were provided.

In other news, Shilpa also announced the closure of her Mumbai restaurant, Bastian Bandra, which was a popular celebrity hotspot. This news comes amid ongoing legal troubles for the actress and her husband, Raj Kundra. The couple is currently facing allegations of a ₹60 crore fraud, with claims filed by businessman Deepak Kothari. However, their lawyer, Prashant Patil, has released a statement to ANI denying the allegations.

On the professional front, Shilpa is serving as a judge on Super Dancer Season 5 alongside Geeta Kapur and Marzi Pestonji. She was last seen in the film Sukhee, which also featured Amit Sadh and Kusha Kapila. Shilpa is preparing for her return to Kannada cinema after 18 years in the upcoming film KD: The Devil, which co-stars Dhruva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, and Nora Fatehi.
