Tamannaah Bhatia Launched Her Brand

Speaking on a podcast with Vineeta Singh, CEO and co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics, Tamannaah made it clear that she does not want her brand to rely solely on her star power. She said, “I don’t see myself as a celebrity building a brand. I see myself as a founder trying to build this brand. No one would invest in such an expensive product just for my face.” The actress emphasized that if her only goal had been profitability, she would have chosen a more mass-friendly and commercially popular category.

Instead, she opted for premium jewellery, a space that demands trust, quality, and long-term commitment. Tamannaah highlighted that execution is where most businesses fail, regardless of how strong the idea might be. “I’m completely invested in my work, from the name to the money, the idea, and the execution. People fall short in execution, and that’s where most businesses fail.”

Vineeta Singh supported Tamannaah’s perspective and praised her strategy of starting small and focusing on market control. She pointed out that many products fail due to poor market fit and lack of genuine demand. According to Vineeta, Tamannaah’s cautious rollout beginning with a single store shows strong business sense. In fact, Vineeta even remarked that if Tamannaah had pitched her brand on Shark Tank India, she would have invested her entire season’s capital in it.

Vineeta said, “You have the biggest stake in this compared to any celebrity brand. I’m really supporting you.” Tamannaah joins a growing list of Bollywood celebrities who have ventured into entrepreneurship. While celebrity-led brands often gain instant visibility, long-term sustainability depends on product quality, consumer trust, and strong business fundamentals. With Tamannaah Fine Jewellery, Tamannaah Bhatia is positioning herself not just as a brand ambassador but as a serious entrepreneur.
