Allu Arjun was highly praised for his acting in the film ‘Pushpa 2’ by the audience. Now, the Telangana government announced the ‘Gadar Telangana Film Awards 2024’ on May 29. The purpose of this event is to promote the Telugu film industry. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ was awarded Best Feature Film, while Allu Arjun was awarded Best Actor for his work in ‘Pushpa-2’. And this honor has come to the actor several months after his arrest for the stampede during the screening of the film and the death of a woman in it.

Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju and veteran actress Jayasudha announced the ‘Gadar Telangana Film Awards 2024’ at a press conference at Samachar Bhavan in Masabtank. Jayasudha, along with Dil Raju, chaired the 15-member jury committee, which selected the winners. Now, the actor has also reacted to this news and has thanked the committee.

This is the first official state-level film award since the formation of Telangana. The last time this award function was organized was in the year 2011. Jayasudha told that the jury had received 1,248 nominations for awards in 11 categories. Now the awards will be given to everyone on June 14. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had announced last year that the Nandi Awards will be held again to promote Telugu cinema and will be renamed after revolutionary poet and lyricist Gummadi Vittal Rao aka Gaddar, who passed away in 2023.
