Despite the personal tragedy, the show’s production schedule left little room for pause. Producer Vipul D Shah reportedly approached Krushna with a difficult request, to shoot an episode due to the absence of pre-recorded content. Krushna shared that the team had already locked dates with Katrina Kaif for the episode, making cancellation nearly impossible. Vipul Shah explained the urgency, saying they needed at least one episode ready for the weekend telecast and couldn’t proceed without Krushna.

The comedian admitted he was deeply conflicted. He hadn’t even performed his father’s terahvi, and the idea of making people laugh during such a time felt overwhelming. In that moment of doubt, Krushna recalled his father’s guiding principle, “Work is paramount, and the show must go on.” This belief gave him the strength to step onto the stage despite his grief. He also shared a deeply emotional coincidence, he was born on Janmashtami, and his father, a devotee of Lord Krishna, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the same day at the age of 75.

Krushna credited Bharti Singh for being a pillar of strength during that difficult phase. He described her as family, saying she stood by him throughout the shoot and helped him get through the emotionally draining experience. Together, they completed the episode, something Krushna initially doubted he could do. Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh hosted Comedy Nights Bachao from 2015 to 2017, entertaining audiences with their roast-style humor.
