Shah Rukh Khan has ruled Bollywood for over 30 years, delivering timeless blockbusters and earning a global fan base. Even at 60, SRK proved his stardom is unshakable when he made a massive comeback after Zero with back-to-back superhits like Pathan, Jawan, and Dunki, collectively grossing over ₹2,600 crore worldwide. His reign as the King of Bollywood remains unmatched. But actor Vivek Oberoi recently expressed a controversial opinion that despite Shah Rukh’s extraordinary legacy, future generations may forget him.

In a conversation with one of the media houses, Vivek Oberoi spoke about fame, legacy, and how time eventually fades even the brightest stars. He said, “After a certain point, you become just a footnote in history. If you ask anyone today who worked in which film in the 1960s, no one cares. Maybe in 2050, people will say Who is Shah Rukh Khan?” Vivek compared the situation to legendary actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor, who is regarded as a cinematic god by many.

However, according to him, “Nowadays people ask, ‘Who is Raj Kapoor?’ You and I call him the God of cinema, but if you ask any of Ranbir Kapoor’s young fans, they might not know who Raj Kapoor was.” He suggested that no matter how big a star is today, history may eventually overshadow their fame. Despite Vivek’s remarks, Shah Rukh Khan remains one of the most influential superstars in Indian cinema. In 2023, he delivered three blockbuster films, Pathan, Jawan, and Dunki.
