Alia Bhatt Slams ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ After Videos Of Her New Home Go Viral

Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has publicly called out publications and social media accounts for filming and sharing videos of her under-construction home in Mumbai. The actor, who is building a new residence with her husband Ranbir Kapoor, took to Instagram to release a strong statement emphasizing the importance of privacy and security.

In her post, Alia addressed the “clear invasion of privacy” and “serious security issue” of having videos of her home circulated without her consent. She wrote, “I understand that in a city like Mumbai, space is limited – sometimes the view from your window is another person’s home. But that does not give anyone the right to film private residences and push those videos online.”

”It’s a violation”

The actor stressed that filming or photographing someone’s personal space is not “content,” but rather a “violation” that should never be normalized. “Think about it: would you tolerate videos of the inside of your home being shared publicly, without you knowing?” she asked.

She concluded her message with a firm request, urging her followers not to share such content and asking the media to take down the videos immediately. The viral videos reportedly offer a full view of the six-story Krishna Raj bungalow in Bandra, which is estimated to be worth ₹250 crore.

On the Work Front

On the professional front, Alia is set to star in Yash Raj Films’ spy universe movie, Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail. The film, which also stars Sharvari Wagh, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor, is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2025. She will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, where she will share the screen with her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
