Recently, Dhurandhar, set in Lyari, topped Netflix Pakistan charts, drawing praise and criticism from viewers online. Positive reviews poured in, while angry tweets also sparked debates on social media platforms. In a surprising turn, pirated copies of the film have reportedly surfaced in the neighbouring country. A viral vlog by a well-known YouTuber claims these copies are being sold openly at throwaway prices. The shocking clip has left netizens stunned and questioning the enforcement of the ban.

YouTuber Karl Rock visited the Rainbow Centre and discovered pirated copies of a blockbuster starring Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar. In his video, he reacted with visible shock and concern. “Indian films are banned in Pakistan, but look what I found, and this is a new film, yeah, from Hindustan.” The shopkeeper confirms the same by pointing at a poster of the film on a screen and tells Karl it is one of the latest releases. The YouTuber then adds, “I can tell you a thing or two about Ranveer Singh. He’s a Sindhi. His grandparents are from this city, I think, and they came across India during partition.”

Karl Rock, a New Zealand–based YouTuber married to an Indian woman, was blacklisted from entering India in July 2021. Authorities said he violated visa rules by conducting business activities while holding a tourist visa. The Ministry of Home Affairs cited this as the reason for action.
