Mumbai-raised choreographer Rajit Dev has achieved a major career milestone by becoming the first Indian choreographer to be associated with the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album. His work can be seen in Siir Siir, a track featuring Nora Fatehi, French singer-songwriter Vegedream, and music producer Sanjoy. The song forms part of FIFA’s official World Cup 2026 music album, placing Indian dance talent firmly on the global map.
The Nora Fatehi Connection
According to Rajit, Nora Fatehi was instrumental in bringing him on board for the prestigious project. The duo first crossed paths during their time on the reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and have since collaborated on several music videos and international tours. Their long-standing professional relationship ultimately opened the doors to one of the biggest opportunities of Rajit’s career.
Rajit revealed that when Nora became part of the FIFA project, she immediately thought of working with him and his team, a testament to the trust and creative partnership they have built over the years.
A Race Against Time
While the final result looks effortless on screen, the preparation was anything but easy. Rajit shared that his team had only two days to rehearse in India before recording a choreography video and sending it to Nora, who was already in Morocco. Once the choreography received approval, the team flew out for the shoot.
The 15-Minute Challenge
One of the biggest hurdles came during filming. The crew was granted just 15 minutes to shoot on a football ground in Morocco. To make every second count, the team completed all camera setups and rehearsals beforehand. The moment permission was granted, they executed the entire sequence within the narrow time window.
Taking Indian Talent Global
For Rajit, another proud moment was being able to bring Indian dancers along for the international shoot. He noted that budget constraints often prevent dancers from travelling abroad for such projects, making this opportunity even more special. The music video proudly showcases Indian performers alongside international artists, creating a truly global collaboration with a strong desi heartbeat.
A Milestone Beyond Bollywood
The success of Siir Siir is more than just a personal achievement for Rajit Dev. It signals how Indian choreographers and performers are increasingly finding space on some of the world’s biggest entertainment platforms. And with Nora Fatehi also set to perform at the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony, India’s presence at football’s grandest stage continues to grow stronger.
