Geopolitical effects and their impact on lifestyle and living.
With the recent negotiations between the countries at war, and as the US president puts it, there have been so many wars which he seems to have extinguished, the advocacy of geopolitical crises to the general population is not good. Large scale chaos in world order is nothing new, it has always been there and still will remain there, no matter how the human civilisation progresses technologically or becomes so-called ‘civilised’. It leads to imbalances and uncertainty about the future. In India, though we are not a witnesses to the physical aspect of it, but deep down with the election commission pulling up the SIR antic at the behest of the ruling party, it seems to have a similar effect, as if it is at war with the general people, and political parties, using tools of the government and policy. The SIR stir should go down in political history as the best case manipulation of electoral rolls to benefit a certain party. Outcome of the state elections to be held will showcase how this strategy of BJP has worked against the process of democracy. BJP should definitely have the upper hand in terms of vote share, and it looks forward to a better voteshare should translate into a larger number of seats, thereby winning the state.
How science is above consumerism?
It is hardcore science which has led to the development of devices and products. This is nothing new and it is being written out only for the sake of argument. However, in recent times most of the education has been oriented towards consumerism rather than the world of pure science. It is the advent of large-scale social media and uncurated content that is thrown at people who should otherwise be drawn towards research but are instead drawn to entertainment, which seems meaningless at times. However all said and done entertainment, e.g., endless scroll on the 6-inch screen, has taken over rationality, education and understanding to a very large extent. The way it will resolve is that 2% of the people who do not entertain themselves with endless scrolls are going to tower above the rest of the intelligencesia, thereby creating a huge gap, not just in wealth but also in human capacity. Hence readers, determine which percentage you belong to.
The fluctuations in wealth and incomes in the present times.
The recent geopolitical tension has led to the money markets fluctuating heavily all around the world. It has impacted commodity prices to stock prices, and also thereby affected the price of land, residences and commercial spaces. The instability is so huge that usual business plans and processes are unable to capture it. Forget about capturing it, they are unable to process it. Hence, it has led to gains which are personal for investors, as individuals can react more swiftly than institutions, thereby creating funds not for any institutional use, but more of personal endeavour and use. How this money market will get resolved will have to be waited out and seen. But in all likelihood, it is going to be negative for the economy as most of the urban consumption is now rooted towards entertainment and experience, rather than wealth building and converting incomes to wealth.
To the moon again and back.
This signifies how the US along with the West will still dominate the rest of the world. The American effort of going into the Moon and back is quite significant for all mankind. As it created technological breakthroughs back in the 1970s, it should lead to another technological revolution of things and consumerism which may be unthinkable right now. Also, there is deep research in science, quantum physics, and other things like the impending discovery of the gravity particle; with this human initiative of going to the Moon, it may give humanity another leap forward.
