Pawan Kalyan Targets Cockroach Janata Party After Prakash Raj’s Support, Says, ‘Don’t Fall for Narrow-Minded Thinking’

The political satire surrounding the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has taken another dramatic turn. Just days after actor Prakash Raj publicly backed the youth-led movement during a protest over the NEET paper leak issue, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan launched a sharp attack on those supporting the group. Addressing party workers during a meeting in Delhi, Pawan Kalyan accused supporters of the CJP of promoting divisive thinking and urged people not to become part of narratives that, in his view, could undermine national unity.

Speaking at a Jana Sena Party meeting held at a star hotel in Delhi, Pawan Kalyan said that the Cockroach Janata Party had become one of the key discussion points during the gathering. Referring to the movement in a metaphorical manner, the actor-politician said, “You must have heard about the cockroach recently. It reminded me of the Sumati Shatakam. Even a tiny creature or an ant can kill a mighty snake.”

He then used the analogy to caution party workers against what he described as narrow-minded ideologies. Elaborating further, Pawan Kalyan remarked, “People with a narrow mindset, those who lack a deep understanding of the country’s politics will use divisive rhetoric to undermine national integrity. We must not fall prey to such thinking.” He added, “When millions of narrow-minded people come together, whether for good or bad their impact can be immense. Therefore, we must fight against this rather than participate in it.”

His remarks quickly gained traction online, sparking fresh political debate. Pawan had also commented on the growing popularity of the Cockroach Janata Party in a recent interaction with ANI. He said, “We need to consider why they are angry in the first place. A cockroach lives in the gutter… perhaps that is why I can understand their pain.” The actor-politician also revealed that he had discussed the subject with his son, Akira Nandan.

His comments drew mixed reactions on social media, with supporters praising his stand while critics accused him of dismissing the concerns raised by protesting students and young people. Pawan Kalyan’s remarks came just a day after veteran actor Prakash Raj openly expressed solidarity with the Cockroach Janata Party. Prakash Raj joined a protest led by activist Sonam Wangchuk and CJP founder Abhijit Dipke, where he criticised elected representatives for allegedly prioritising politics over governance.
