The message allegedly demanded Rs 10 crore and is suspected to have been sent by a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Investigators believe the voice in the threatening audio belongs to Hari Chand, popularly known as Harry Boxer, who is now under scrutiny by authorities.

After celebrities like Salman Khan, Kapil Sharma, and Rohit Shetty, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly targeted actor Ranveer Singh. The star, currently enjoying the success of his blockbuster Dhurandhar, allegedly received a threatening voice note demanding Rs 10 crore. The threat surfaced just days after multiple gunshots were fired outside the Juhu, Mumbai residence of the Singham Again director. Hari Chand, alias Harry Boxer, a member of the Bishnoi gang, is believed to be behind the voice message. Investigators are now examining fresh developments as new details regarding the alleged threat continue to emerge in the case.

According to sources, the demand was made through a voice note sent from a phone number registered in the United States. The Mumbai Police Crime Branch is said to be coordinating with concerned US law enforcement agencies to collect more information and trace the origin of the message. Times Now first reported that the voice in the threatening audio sent to Singh is believed to belong to Bishnoi’s close aide, Hari. Officials suspect that he used a VPN to transmit the threat and conceal his identity. Notably, this is not the first instance of Hari allegedly using a VPN to issue threats.
New Threat Issued To Ranveer Singh And Rohit Shetty
After the first message on February 10, a second threat was allegedly sent to Ranveer and Rohit. The caller, identifying himself as Hari, warned that their entire staff would be harmed if his demands were ignored. Though the exact reason behind the extortion remains unclear, he accused Ranveer of breaking a prior commitment and cautioned him to fall in line or face serious consequences.

Meanwhile, multiple arrests have been made regarding the firing incident at Rohit Shetty’s residence. The Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) of the Crime Branch recently apprehended alleged shooter Deepak Chandra Sharma along with twelve other individuals involved in the case.
Reports reveal that the accused were promised a total of Rs 3 lakh by Shubham Lonkar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, with Rs 50,000 allegedly paid in advance. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has earlier targeted several high-profile celebrities, including Salman Khan, Kapil Sharma, AP Dhillon, and others, raising serious concerns over repeated threats and criminal activities linked to the notorious gang.
