Rumors regarding the health of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan caused widespread concern among fans on Tuesday night after reports surfaced claiming that the actor had been admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital in critical condition. However, according to multiple reports and sources close to the Bachchan family, the claims about Amitabh Bachchan being hospitalized are false. The 82-year-old actor had reportedly only visited the hospital for a routine medical check-up and returned home shortly afterward. The rumors gained momentum after journalist Vicky Lalwani stated on his YouTube channel that Amitabh Bachchan had been admitted to Nanavati Hospital since May 16 and was staying in the hospital’s A-Wing.

He further claimed that actor Abhishek Bachchan had visited the hospital on Tuesday evening to meet his father. The reports also alleged that Amitabh was dealing with gastrointestinal issues. However, later clarifications suggested that these claims were inaccurate and exaggerated. According to a media report, a source close to the matter stated that the veteran actor had visited Nanavati Hospital on Saturday only for his routine monthly medical check-up.

After the examination, he reportedly returned home the very same day. The source reportedly said, “Mr. Bachchan visited Nanavati Hospital on Saturday; however, this was merely for a routine check-up—something he undergoes every month, after which he returned home. The reports circulating are completely false.” The source further added that Amitabh Bachchan was seen driving from his residence, Jalsa, to Janak the very next day, indicating that he was in good health.

Another person close to the Bachchan family also dismissed the hospitalization rumors, calling them completely fabricated. Meanwhile, speculation intensified after Amitabh shared a cryptic message on his personal blog late Wednesday night. The post, published around 12:19 AM, included metaphorical lines about silence, chatter, and dominance, which many social media users began linking to the ongoing rumors surrounding his health.
