Anil Kapoor Talks About His Bond With Grandson Vayu, “Connecting With Him Quicker Than My Own Children”

Veteran star, Anil Kapoor is one of the finest actors in the film industry. He is ageing like a fine wine. And going by his looks, one cannot tell that Kapoor is now a grandfather too. On August 20, 2022, his daughter Sonam Kapoor welcomed her son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja with her husband Anand Ahuja.

In a recent interaction during an event in Mumbai where he was joined by Hollywood actor, George Clooney, Anil was asked to talk about this new responsibility of being a grandfather. Talking about the same, he revealed developing a connection with his grandchild was quicker than with his children.

Anil stated, “When I became a grandfather, I couldn’t process it. It took me some time to process it. I am still in the process. I was in Austria, I started slowly connecting with my grandson. His name is Vayu, which means wind. I am slowly and steadily connecting with him, much quicker than I connected with my children.”

Further in the conversation, the dapper actor recalled one of the most memorable strolls he had with his two-month-old grandson. He told that one fine day when it was beautiful outside, he took Vayu for a walk and this was his first exposure to mother nature. Sharing a cute deed of his little munchkin, the 65-year-old actor said, “He was looking at the sky and the sun and trying to eat. It was wonderful to see how he was reacting to it.”

In his earlier interviews, Anil Kapoor talked about how he got emotional at the birth of his first grandchild. He has said, Nothing can be better than this feeling. I would like to say my dialogue – I feel on top of the world. I am always there by his side. It is great to see him every day. He’s so small right now, let him grow up a bit.”

Well, we are in awe of this grandfather-grandson bond and cannot wait to get a glimpse of this duo.
