Kareena Kapoor Khan may be Bollywood royalty, but her day-to-day life is far from extravagant. In a recent interview with Nod Magazine, the Daayra actress peeled back the curtain on her routine with husband Saif Ali Khan and their children, giving fans a heartwarming glimpse into their grounded lifestyle.

Kareena credited the pandemic for slowing her down and teaching her the value of enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Calling her rustic brick-stone kitchen “the happiest part of the house,” she shared how she, Saif, and the kids often spend time cooking together. “Saif, the kids, me—we’re all in the kitchen,” she said, adding that her husband is currently obsessed with Kerala cuisine. From idiyappams to coconut stews, Saif is always experimenting, while Kareena sticks to her non-negotiable—one proper Indian meal a day.

The actress also revealed that her lifestyle has taken a more disciplined turn in recent years. She now eats dinner by 6 pm, goes to bed by 9:30, and wakes up early to work out before the world rises. “My friends know not to expect me at parties,” she laughed, adding that they’re well aware she’ll probably be watching Schitt’s Creek at low volume instead.

Fitness, too, has become a vital part of her life—not for appearance, but for well-being. Kareena now regularly shares her yoga and strength training routines on social media, calling them her “mood stabilizers.”

On the work front, Kareena continues to strike a balance between mainstream cinema and meaningful roles. After Singham Again and Crew, she’s now gearing up for Daayra, a Meghna Gulzar directorial featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran. The socially relevant crime-drama is currently in pre-production.

Kareena is also set to appear in Dining With The Kapoors, an upcoming Netflix reality drama featuring members of the Kapoor clan including Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Randhir Kapoor, and Karisma Kapoor. The show promises candid conversations and family memories from one of Bollywood’s most celebrated dynasties.
