Divya Khosla’s husband, Bhushan Kumar, co-produced Saavi along with Mukesh Bhatt. The film released on May 31, while Jigra, starring Alia Bhatt, released in October. Earlier, Divya had alleged that her film Saavi was copied and box-office numbers were manipulated thus false collection reports were circulated on social media. Mukesh Bhatt, in an interview was quoted as saying that Divya’s claims were simply a publicity stunt and that Alia Bhatt does not need to copy anyone.

These statements triggered the latest escalation. In her latest move, Divya shared an audio clip on Instagram, which she says is a recording of her phone conversation with Mukesh Bhatt. According to Divya, Mukesh Bhatt allegedly denied making such statements and said he was never asked about her in the interview.

In the recording, Divya can be heard asking, “Sir, based on what has surfaced online, have you said anything about me committing fraud? Have you said anything about the controversy surrounding Saavi and Alia’s Jigra, that I staged a publicity stunt?” Mukesh Bhatt, as per the audio, appears to claim that he did not make such remarks. Sharing the audio on social media, Divya wrote a powerful note alleging lobbying, gatekeeping, and attempts to silence talent in the industry. She said, “I am deeply shocked by this revelation. What I have recently learned is disturbing and heartbreaking. With a heavy heart, I say that it is important to bring this truth to the public… so that people can hear for themselves how certain groups try to ruin and stifle true talent. This behavior is unacceptable… It’s time to expose the industry mafia.”
