Rapper Badshah has openly condemned a recent incident where a man disrupted the sanctity of a vegetarian restaurant inside ISKCON’s Radha-Krishna Temple in London by eating chicken and mocking the staff and visitors. The viral video of the incident, originally shared by X user @JIX5A, shows the man deliberately targeting Govinda — a well-known vegetarian restaurant attached to the temple — and behaving disrespectfully despite repeated warnings from staff.
In the now-viral clip, the man is seen entering Govinda and asking staff members, “Is this a vegan restaurant? So there’s no meat? Are you sure?” After several confirmations from staff that Govinda serves only vegetarian food, the man brazenly pulls out a box of KFC fried chicken and starts eating it in front of everyone. He further escalates the situation by offering pieces of chicken to the staff and other diners, clearly provoking outrage.
As soon as the video circulated on social media, Badshah took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his disapproval. Sharing the clip, the rapper wrote, “Even the chicken would be embarrassed. Dude wasn’t hungry for chicken, he was hungry for some (sandals) on that face. True strength is in respecting what you don’t understand.” His comments quickly garnered attention, with thousands agreeing that the man’s actions were intended to provoke and disrespect the religious values of others.
Many X users echoed Badshah’s sentiments, slamming the man for his behaviour. Comments ranged from “This is beyond disgusting, driven by hate, not hunger,” to “Such actions are pure evil, hope legal action follows.” Some pointed out the growing trend of clout-chasing at the cost of religious and cultural sentiments, saying, “Hell awaits such people who have no respect for others.”
Badshah, known for chart-topping hits like Mercy, Garmi, and Sanak, is also set to begin his Unfinished Tour in the US this September, with performances scheduled in New Jersey, Virginia, Dallas, Chicago, Seattle, and the Bay Area. While the rapper is busy entertaining fans globally, his stance on respecting religious spaces has earned widespread praise.
