In an interview with one of the media houses, Vinay Anand shared how deeply Govinda has influenced his life and career. He said that when Govinda reached the peak of his stardom, not just he but the entire country was inspired. According to Vinay, there wasn’t a single superstar at the time who wasn’t influenced by Govinda’s dancing style or screen presence. Even those who couldn’t dance began trying because of him.

Vinay described Govinda as not just an uncle but a father figure, maintaining immense respect for him despite their 14-year age difference. Vinay also shared a touching story about Govinda’s devotion to his mother, Nirmala Devi. Recalling an incident from his grandmother’s birthday, Vinay revealed that Govinda washed her feet in a plate and then drank the water as a mark of respect and devotion.
