Veteran actress Rakhi Gulzar has come out in support of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s reported decision to marry his longtime partner Gauri Spratt. Speaking to one of the media houses, Rakhi said, “What is wrong with getting married at the age of 60? Happiness in a relationship is not determined by age.” To support her point, she cited the example of Hollywood legend Robert De Niro, who welcomed a child with his partner Tiffany Chen in his later years. Rakhi also reflected on her own life, recalling her marriage to celebrated lyricist Gulzar. The couple married in 1973 and later became parents to filmmaker Meghna Gulzar.

Although she admitted that she does not closely follow every development in the film industry, Rakhi praised Aamir Khan for the way he has maintained relationships with his former spouses. “I have never worked with Aamir, but I know he is a sincere and honest person. I admire the fact that he continues to share a respectful friendship with both his ex-wives. That says a lot about his character,” she said.
