Ranveer Singh Gets Emotional over Asha Bhosle’s death
In photos and videos shared by paparazzi on Instagram, Ranveer Singh was seen exiting the singer’s residence and heading toward his car. He appeared visibly emotional, pausing briefly to regain composure before quietly getting inside without addressing the paparazzi. On Sunday, he later shared a picture with the singer on his Instagram Stories, offering a heartfelt tribute in memory of the artist and expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss. “Irreplaceable, incomparable,” he wrote in the caption.

Asha Bhosle Wrapped in Tricolour
On Monday, Asha’s mortal remains were kept at her residence for loved ones to pay tribute, wrapped in the Indian flag as a mark of respect. Videos showed the singer receiving state honours as soldiers covered her casket, decorated with white lilies, in the tricolour. Final respects continued at her Lower Parel home until 3 PM, after which the funeral procession moved to Shivaji Park crematorium in Dadar, where her last rites were performed at 4 PM later that day.
Asha Bhosle died on Sunday morning due to multi-organ failure at the age of 92 at Breach Candy Hospital. She had been hospitalised with a chest infection and severe exhaustion. She is survived by her son, Anand Bhosle, and her granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle. Condolences poured in after the news broke, with many expressing shock at her passing across India and beyond widely.
Asha Bhosle is regarded as one of the most successful singers in Hindi cinema. Over a career spanning more than eight decades, she has recorded songs for films and albums across several Indian languages and earned numerous awards. She has also been honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and received the Padma Vibhushan in 2008, among the highest civilian honours.

Ranveer Singh was last seen in the spy action thriller movie Dhurandhar 2 (or Dhurandhar: The Revenge), which was released on March 15 2026. He played the lead role of Hamza Ali Mazari, an undercover spy, and the film was directed by Aditya Dhar and the movie successfully hit the box office, also the success of the first Dhurandhar movie released in December 2025.
