Popular reality TV face Divya Agarwal grabbed headlines with the announcement of her engagement with businessman beau Apurva Padgaonkar on her 30th birthday recently. It took everyone by surprise as the actress broke up with her long time boyfriend Varun Sood just nine months ago.
Around the time of Agarwal’s big news, Sood shared cryptic post on his social media. Many fans claimed that its was targeted towards Divya. But in a latest interview, the Ragini MMS Returns actor has dismissed all these speculations and has clarified that it had nothing to do with her ex.
On being asked if his post and tweet had a connection to Divya’s engagement, Varun said that the song he dropped has been sung by his very good friend and the calm emoji he tweeted was related to a few projects that he signed. “It was not hinted at anyone or any event happening in anyone’s life. None of my posts or tweets is related to anyone,” stated Varun.
Further in an interaction, Varun wished Divya on starting a new life with fiance Apurva. He quoted, “I would like to congratulate the couple. I wish them all the best.”
For the unversed, Varun Sood and Divya Agarwal met and fell in love on reality show MTV Ace of Space. The two dated for almost four years and were in a live-in relationship. The duo called it quits in March 2022.
Workwise, Varun debuted in Bollywood with Dharma Productions’ Jug Jugg Jeeyo. He will star next in the web series Call Me Bae alongside Ananya Panday.
