Recently, we saw actor Arjun Kapoor celebrating his nine years in the film industry. In an interview, he reflected upon the remarkable time he had in Bollywood over these years, his journey so far, his relationship with Malaika Arora, and much more.
Now, Arjun has opened up on his upcoming movie Ek Villain 2. In an interview with a leading daily, Arjun has revealed some spiced-interesting news about his upcoming multi-starrer movie “Ek Villain 2” that you surely don’t want to miss.
On being asked about doing a mainstream film after Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, the actor replied, “I think it’s important to test yourself all the time. If I am able to tick mark and accomplish a Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, I can also do a Mohit Suri kind of film. If there is Dibakar Banerjee kind of cinema, there is also a Mohit Suri style of cinema. He is a very experienced filmmaker.”
The 35-year old seems quite confident about how things are turning up in his life right now. He further added, “I am not nervous about it. I need to balance films like Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Ek Villian 2. The balance might be changing but that’s the challenge of being an actor. I have full faith in Ek Villian 2 and its result. There is John Abraham, Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani. There is Mohit Suri and his kind of music. The way he will present us (is also exciting).”
The actor feels that the film is not a typical brainless masala movie that Bollywood usually makes. He commented, “It is not a mainstream film that is brainless. It is not a frivolous film. There is a story, there are characters, and there is a plot with twists and turns. So I am pretty excited about it.”
The actor is also excited to flaunt his washboard abs in the movie.
The shooting for Ek Villian 2 began a few months ago. Arjun Kapoor’s last film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has earned him positive reviews from the critics for his performance. Arjun might have had a tough going in Bollywood earlier but his role as Sandeep in his last film opposite Parineeti Chopra has turned the tables for him and kind of revived his career. The Bollywood heartthrob is gearing up for his next release and is quite optimistic about its box office performance. Besides Ek villain 2, Arjun has bagged another movie titled Bhoot police. If all goes well, both his films will get a theatrical release.
