Krishnamachari ‘Kris’ Srikkanth, a former Indian cricket captain, and his wife Vidya Srikkanth took part in the new reality TV program, Smart Jodi. The program matches famous couples against one another in the hopes of completing tasks effectively and winning. Kris and Vidya relive their first kiss in a preview for the show’s forthcoming episode, which they describe as “extremely sweet.”
Kris and Vidya are shown coming on stage before taking part in a fake traditional Tamil wedding ceremony in front of the other candidates in a trailer for the program published on Twitter by Star Plus. Vidya tells Maniesh Paul, the presenter, “I was quite young the last time we married. This is now amusing.”
Maniesh then asks the pair if they’d be willing to share the tale of their first kiss. Vidya interjects, “It was an extremely romantic kiss,” she adds. “We were at her home in Delhi, and she was preparing coffee for us,” Kris continues. “He immediately stepped into the kitchen and kissed me right away,” Vidya says. The other candidates clap and laugh at this.
From 1981 to 1992, Kris Srikkanth represented India in 43 Tests and 146 One-Day Internationals. Kris was a member of the 1983 World Cup-winning squad. Actor Jiiva played Kris in the newly released film 83. In 1980, Kris and Vidya married. Anirudha and Adithyaa are their two children together. Bhagyashree and Himalaya, Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain, Gaurav Taneja and Ritu Rathee, Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma, Arjun Bijlani and Neha Swami, Natalya Ilina and Rahul Mahajan, and others are among the Smart Jodi participants.
