Dalip Tahil Respond To Reports Of Jaya Prada Slapping Him During A Rape Scene, “Never Shared Screen..”

Actor Dalip Tahil is a celebrated villain from 90s era. He is known for portraying negative characters in films like Baazigar (1993), Raja (1995), Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), and Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000) among others. But even after earning a reputed name in the industry, Tahil keeps coming back in headlines for his alleged fallout with actress Jaya Prada while filming a rape scene with her.

It is widely reported by several publications that on the sets of Aankhree Raasta, Dalip was slapped by Prada when he got out of control while shooting a rape scene. In the news pieces that are circulated online, it is stated that for the film, the actor was asked to perform a certain scene with Jaya. He refused initially but then was threatened about his career. Dalip was also reportedly told that Jaya gave her consent for the scene which made him do it.

In a recent interview, the actor has denied all such claims. Surprising one and all, Dalip revealed that he never shared screen space with Jaya and all these reports came out of blue. Though the 70-year-old actor has no grudge against the person who started the speculation, but he would want him to show that particular scene to him.

Dalip stated, “I have been reading over a period of time that I have done a rape scene with Jaya Prada. It says that I got carried away, and then she slapped me. It keeps coming on my Google alert.”

“Let me clarify that I have never shared screen space with Jaya Prada ji. I was keen to do so but never got the chance. No such scene ever happened. I have no animosity against the person writing it. I’d like this person to show me this scene. Now on social media, people are creating situations that probably never existed in the first place. Imagine, such a scene never happened and it’s being reported,” he added.

For the unversed, Aankhree Raasta featured Amitabh Bachchan, Sridevi, and Anupam Kher, Jaya Prada and Dalip Tahil. It is directed by K Bhagyaraj.
