Giving an update about legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar`s health, her team has issued a statement urging fans not to believe in any false news regarding the megastar as she continues to be under treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
It`s been more than a week since the Bharat Ratna recipient was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after she was diagnosed with COVID-19 and pneumonia. Many false rumours regarding the iconic singer`s health have been going rounds on the internet since then.
Smriti Irani also shared a note from Dr. Pratit Samdani, who is treating Lata Mangeshkar at Breach Candy hospital. Dr. Pratit Samdani’s note reads, “Lata Didi is showing positive signs of improvement from earlier and is under treatment in the ICU. We are looking forward and praying for her speedy healing and homecoming.”
Smriti Irani shared the note and tweeted, “Request from Lata Didi’s family to not spread rumours. She is responding well to treatment and god willing will return home soon. Let us avoid speculation & continue to pray for Lata Didi’s speedy recovery and wellbeing.”
The recent statement about her health shared by a close family friend says, “Lata Didi is showing signs of improvement from before and is under treatment in the ICU from the amazing team of doctors spearheaded by Dr. Pratit Samdani. We are looking forward and praying for her speedy healing and coming back home.”
