The untimely demise of Bigg Boss fame Sonali Phogat has left everyone in a state of dismay. But what is even more shocking is the latest twist in her death case. Initial reports said that the politician succumbed to a heart attack but as per the sources now, it has been tagged as a murder. The mystery behind her death is intensifying with each passing day.

The two accused i.e. Sonali’s associates- Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Wasi are currently in Police custody. They have confessed to spiking her drink with MDMA drug. In a recent turn of events, it has come to light that the actress is named as Sukhwinder’s wife in the rent documents of her Gurugram apartment.

Some reliable sources have revealed that in the rent documents of an apartment in Gurgaon Greens in Sector 102, owned by Krishnakant Tiwari, Sonali Phogat was named as her personal assistant, Sudhir Sangwan’s wife. Police verification was recently also carried out on the said place as Sonali used to live in the apartment quite often. In fact, before leaving for Goa, she along with her aide visited the flat and took a cab to the airport.

Besides this, Police have also revealed that they have footage showing Sudhir making Sonali forcibly drink water that had “some obnoxious substance”.As per the security camera footage released by Curlie’s restaurant, where Phogat had her last meal, the actress is seen staggering out of the famous party joint leaning on the shoulders of Sangwan. The associates took her to the hotel, Grand Leonny, where all of them were staying. She was admitted to St. Anthony’s hospital the next morning after she complained of uneasiness. Sonali was declared dead upon arrival.

While the motive for Sonali’s murder is yet unknown, the Police are investigating the matter deeply. Sonali, who started off as an actress and later turned politician is survived by a teenage daughter.
