Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman’s son and playback singer AR Ameen was involved in a road accident in Chennai in the early hours of Monday, August 10. The accident reportedly took place around 3:30 am near Olympia Tech Park in Guindy, leaving Ameen with minor injuries. He was travelling in a Porsche when it collided with a cab. According to reports, Ameen was travelling with a friend when the accident occurred. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention and were later discharged. A cab passenger also reportedly sustained minor injuries in the collision.

The accident reportedly occurred while Ameen was travelling from the Koyambedu side towards Chennai. Police sources cited in reports said that a Wagon-R cab entered the main road from a side lane, after which it collided with Ameen’s Porsche. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are still being investigated by Chennai traffic police. Authorities are examining the incident to determine how the collision occurred and whether any traffic violations were involved.

Following the accident, police reportedly seized the Porsche involved in the collision as part of the investigation. Officials are examining the vehicle and gathering details about the circumstances of the crash. Thankfully, the accident did not result in any reported serious injuries. Ameen and his friend received treatment before being discharged from the hospital and are currently recovering.
