The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) caught eight persons for interrogation after conducting a raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on the night of October 2. The NCB raided alleged that several drugs including cocaine, mephedrone, and ecstasy have been seized from the rave party. Among the eight taken in custody was Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son Aryan Khan.
“Khan and others were on the cruise ship where the agency busted a rave party,” NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede said.
Now, according to the latest reports, Aryan after the medical examination has been found guilty of doing drugs and hence, has been arrested. The charges brought against Aryan Khan include the purchase, possession, and use of banned substances. He was produced in court in the evening where the agency was granted custody of those arrested till October 4.
Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde demanded bail, saying that his client had been arrested only on the basis of chat messages. “Aryan had no ticket, no cabin or seat onboard the cruise. He was there because he had been invited. He didn’t even have a boarding pass. Nothing has been found on him. He was arrested on the basis of chat only.”

The bureau has registered a case under section 8C, 20B, 27 read with 35 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, after officers seized 13 gms of cocaine, 21 gm of charas (hashish), 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy), 5gm mephedrone, and cash worth Rs.1.33 lakh at International Cruise Terminal, Green Gate Mumbai.
Other than Aryan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant have also been arrested. While Arbaaz lives in Bandra and is a friend of Aryan, Munmun Dhamecha is a fashion designer from Madhya Pradesh.
The three arrested were taken for a medical examination in JJ Hospital in Mumbai at around 4 pm. Khan was then brought back to NCB’s office in Ballard Estate in South Mumbai, where he was interrogated.
Other than Aryan Munmun Dhamecha, and Aryan Merchant, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mehak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra, were also taken into custody by the NCB officials.
The NCB officials mentioned that they received the information about the party being organized by a Delhi-based event company in the passenger cruise ship and so they booked tickets to board the cruise ship disguised as passengers.
As soon as the cruise ship starting leaving Mumbai, persons who were on board allegedly began consuming drugs and NCB officials caught them on the spot.
According to a report of a leading daily, the rave party on the cruise was organized by Kashif Khan who is a managing director of FTV India. The NCB has also arrested six of the organizers who had planned the event.
