“Dear Shahrukh Sooraj Ko Madham Karwado,” A Twitter User Tagged Shahrukh Khan!

Temperature across many parts of India is at record levels because of extreme Heat Waves. Getting out of the house and work done too has become incredibly impossible as the mercury is floating over the 45 degrees Celsius mark in the public capital Delhi and different spots in northwest India. In such a situation, a Twitter user found a special and funny method for arguing about bringing down the temperature. Srishti Pandey, a Twitter user, tagged Actor Shah Rukh Khan and made a tweet about his 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (K3G).

She wrote, “Dear @iamsrk Sooraj ko madham karwado if it’s not too much trouble”,” Delhi-based Ms. Pandey said in her tweet. The tweet alludes to “Suraj Hua Maddham”, a melody song of Shahrukh Khan-starrer K3G.

Not long after she posted the tweet, users began a string, adding more references from the film. A user commented “Chand jalne lagega fir (The moon will begin dissolving),” “Aur aasmaan bhi pighal jaayega (And the sky will liquefy as well),” said a third one. One user said the Sun has been given “an agreement to kill us”.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the temperature is supposed to reach 46 degrees Celsius in Delhi, focusing on little alleviation basically for the following two days. Parts of western Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand have also been facing serious blistering climate this month.

The IMD has given a ‘Yellow’ cautioning for three days – from April 29 to May 1 – for Delhi and regions in northwest India. A heatwave in the fields is proclaimed when the most extreme temperature is north of 40 degrees Celsius and somewhere around 4.5 degrees better than average and something like 30 degrees Celsius or something else for uneven areas. A yellow alarm is given when the intensity wave conditions for two days.
