‘Earlier North People Used To Make Fun Of South’s Films’: KGF Star Yash Makes A Big Statement

Since the beginning of this year, South films have been ringing at the box office. Bollywood movies are getting beaten one by one and South movies like ‘Kantara’ and ‘Karthikeya’ 2 are doing amazing. Although the audience was already crazy about Tamil, Telugu, Kannada dubbed films being telecast on TV, the concept of Pan India came, it changed everything. We are not saying this, it seems to be KGF star Yash.

Speaking at the ‘India Today Conclave’ on the flop of a Bollywood film and the success of South films, Yash said that was not the case earlier. Earlier the people of the North did not like the South’s films and used to make fun of them. But SS Rajamouli’s ‘Bahubali’ changed everything. Now people take our films seriously.

Yash further said that 10 years ago, South’s dubbed films have been quite popular in the North. Although initially, people here used to have different opinions about these films. Dubbed films were taken as a joke. People used to say that South films are being telecast on some channels. What is this action, they are all flying. But now people know that it is an art form.

Talking about these dubbed films, Yash further said that then the problem was that the quality of dubbed films was not given due attention. The films were presented in a very bad manner and with funny names. The same thing happened to me as well. People used to call me ‘Rambo Sir’ and ‘Great Lion’. I used to wonder how people are talking like this. However, now people have started understanding South films. Yash attributed this change to SS Rajamouli. He said that after the arrival of ‘Bahubali’, people started understanding South cinema. Now people’s attitude towards us has changed. Yash’s film KGF 2, released this year, made many records at the box office.
