The new mommy in B’town Alia Bhatt enjoys a massive fan following in India. Now it seems she is crossing international borders. Her film Gangubai Kathiawadi made it to the Malaysian fashion show. Models were seen in Alia’s iconic look from the film. The pictures from the event took the internet by storm.

It happened at the Northern Haute Couture Fashion Show 2022 in Malaysia. Models wore outfits inspired by Alia in Gangubai Kathiawadi. They wore white gowns because of the actor’s white saree look in the film. Their look came with hair buns with red roses. They wore black retro sunglasses. They finished it off with a black bindi. They had bold lips. These would instantly remind anyone of Alia’s character.

Several photos from the event have now surfaced online. Miss Star Malaysia 2023 shared one. She captioned it, “Izzat se jeena ka, kisi se darne ka nahi.” Fans wrote, “Gangubai vibes!!” “OMG spot on,” “Just like beautiful fierce Gangubai.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has directed the film Gangubai Kathiawadi. This is adapted from a chapter in author Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. It released in February 2022. It did well at the box-offfice. Apart from Alia, it starred Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz and Seema Pahwa in key roles.

Meanwhile, Alia welcomed a daughter with her husband Ranbir Kapoor recently. She was last seen in Brahmastra. She will be seen acting in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. With Netflix’s Heart of Stone, she is ready to make her Hollywood debut.
