Randeep Hooda Reveals Why He Doesn’t Attend Bollywood Parties, “I Spend Time With Real People”

Renowned artist Randeep Hooda is known for his exceptional acting skills since last two decades. His unpolished talent is evident from his films like Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, Highway, Sarabjit to name a few. But besides being an ace actor, Hooda is notable for his wittiness. He is someone who calls spade a spade and doesn’t mince words.

Despite being in the business for a long time, Randeep has not become a part of any ‘Bollywood camp or Bollywood Gangs’. In fact, he is rarely seen making an appearance at lavish Bollywood parties. In a latest interview, the actor revealed the reason behind the same. He disclosed why he does not socialize with fellow actors.

The Jism 2 actor stated that he likes to connect with real people and people at these events are only pretentious. He said that he spends a lot of time with real people and not so much with film people. He asserted that if one is successful, they start living in an ivory tower and become unable to connect to people anymore. So, one has to be in touch with reality and the best way to do so is to have a conversation with your mother, she’ll put you right.

On being questioned about staying down to earth, the 46-year-old actor replied he does not give a damn to award nights as they are all opinions. One thing he focuses on is to be honest with oneself and keeping it real. He feels that if you start faking it in real life you start faking it on screen.

“That’s why I do not go to a lot of these events where you have to pretend to be this happy glamorous person, while you have a sh*tty life on the side. So, staying true to yourself and my work, and knowing that your job is not to please people keeps me grounded. I don’t think people pleasers make good actors,” quoted Randeep.

Let us tell you that Randeep Hooda made his Hindi film debut with Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding in 2001. He is coming up next with a Netflix thriller show Cat. The Punjabi-Hindi language show will premiere on December 9.
