Ranveer Singh Recorded His Statement To Mumbai Police In Nude Photoshoot Case

An FIR was registered against Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh for posting his nude pictures on social media. At the same time, now the actor has got his statement recorded by the Mumbai Police. An FIR was lodged against Ranveer Singh at the Chembur police station last month based on a complaint by a non-governmental organization (NGO) official. In this case, the police had also issued him a notice to join the investigation.

The officer told the media that the actor appeared before the investigating officer at around 7 am on Monday and his statement was recorded. The officer said that Ranveer Singh left the police station around 9.30 am after recording his statement. Along with this, the official also clarified that the actor can be called again if needed. The complainant had claimed in his complaint that the actor had “hurt the sentiments of women and hurt them with his nude pictures”. Based on the complaint, the police booked Ranveer Singh under various Indian Penal Code sections like 292 (sale of obscene books,), 293 (sale of obscene objects to young people), 509 (obscene words, gestures or acts intended to act) FIR was registered under

Let us tell you that Ranveer Singh got a nude photoshoot done for a magazine in July, due to which there was a lot of ruckus on social media. Bollywood was divided into two parts in this photoshoot. Some celebs like Huma Qureshi and Zoya Akhtar were supporting him. So while Bengali actress Mimi Chakraborty criticized Ranveer Singh by writing a post on social media. The nude photoshoot has become a source of trouble for Ranveer Singh. When the FI was registered against him by the police, his boycott started trending on social media as well. Earlier it was reported that Ranveer Singh was to get his statement recorded on 22nd August. Due to being busy, the actor had pushed this date forward.
