During a recent appearance on a relationship advice show as part of the film’s promotions, Shanaya made a shocking revelation about her past relationship by sharing how she caught her ex-boyfriend cheating while they were on vacation abroad.

When asked about the scariest experience in her relationship, Shanaya recalled being on an international trip with her then-boyfriend. She admitted she believed the relationship was serious and even thought he might be the one. “We were supposed to go out for dinner. He went to take a shower and asked me to book a cab. My phone was dead, so I used his phone,” she shared. That simple act changed everything.

Shanaya revealed that after unlocking his phone, she saw a notification from someone she recognized his ex. Curious, she opened the chat and found inappropriate messages. “At first, I thought it was just one girl. But then messages started coming in from a second girl, a third girl, a fourth girl, and a fifth girl. He was texting five women at the same time,” she said.

Stunned by what she saw, Shanaya quickly took screenshots and sent them to her close friends on Snapchat for advice. Among the friends she reached out to was actress Ananya Panday. Shanaya recalled Ananya urging her to leave immediately. “Ananya said, ‘Take the train and come here.’ We were nearby, but I felt stuck. I didn’t know what to do,” Shanaya revealed.

Despite knowing the truth, Shanaya said she pretended everything was normal during dinner and for the next three days as she felt trapped on the vacation. When her ex eventually realized that she knew about the chats, he allegedly tried to downplay the situation. According to Shanaya, he told her, “What’s the big deal? I was just texting. It wasn’t physical.” But for the actress, it was clearly emotional cheating.
